Current Limiting

Hollin Applications have designed and produced a range of circuits which disconnect the power from the Actuator motor when the current and therefore the load rises above a preset level.

The Actuator motor current is passed through an accurate sense resistor, this voltage is then amplified and compared to a simulation curve.

The Simulation curve is calculated specifically for each Linear Actuator motor, this simulates the current draw expected as the motor starts. Switching is done via a separate Single pole double through switch so the power and output switching are done within the circuit.
