The Actuators are all industrial designs with DC motors built for arduous outdoor machinery tasks.

The gate system has a choice of three Actuators.

The kits are also available with double actuators for dual gate systems.

That’s 6 versions to choose from.

We offer no bracketry to fit these units, as we know farmers are well capable of manufacturing the brackets to suit the gate and the pin size for the Actuator they have chosen.

Electrical Control Box.

The basic control box is the same for each and includes a battery and charging device, so the system is 12 volt and therefore safe. The control includes a radio receiver and two keyfobs with a range of around 30 meters. These keyfobs will open and close the gate remotely by pressing one of the buttons. Internal circuitry to the control box will drive the Actuator to open and close the gate after an input signal. Options can also be set to fully open the gate on short press or to automatically close the gate after a set time.

The charging device has two options with the same price.

Mains Charging Unit:-
If a supply of 240volts AC is available then this charger will monitor the battery condition and keep the battery fully charged no matter how often the gate is used. This is a tri-state charger and will settle to a very low current once the battery is fully charged, the better of the two options if mains is available.

Solar Panel Charger:-
Without mains the solar panel charger is the next best option. Correctly aligned solar panel will keep the battery healthy for opening and closing both in the winter and summer. Obviously negating the requirement to run a cable from power down to the gate.

Keyfob Opening

Standard kit comes with two keyfobs, giving a range of around 30m in good conditions.
More keyfobs are available.
Longer Range keyfob systems are also available.

Other Opening Methods. (Options)

Telephone Opening (New)
This new system is supplied as an option for the gate and gives the gate a telephone number. Just call the gate and the electronics will answer then put the phone down on you and open the gate.
There is no charge to make the call and no monthly charge what could be easier?
You no longer have to give out access codes and change them regularly, just put a sign up with you number on, saying call this for access and anywhere in the world you can open the gate!

New style keypad opening option.
Simple and easy, just plugs into the control electronics and begins to work. Comes preloaded with a 5 digit code which can be changed easily. Just type in the 5 numbers and the gate will open, simple. Fully watertight and relatively low cost just mount above the hinge post for easy access for all friends and colleagues.

Remote uncoded access.
We also offer a simple push button to allow access or exit for anyone uncoded.  Basically this a keyfob with battery in a watertight box with external button. One press and the gate will open then after a while automatically close.

Additional Security Options.

Solenoid Lock Option.
Although all three actuators have strong static load capabilities it may be necessary to automatically lock the gate in the open or closed positions. This option allow for a small pin to be used to lock the Gate system, the pin is retracted when the Gate moves in either direction and will release when the Actuator switches off and locate in the metal plate under spring pressure.
Although the pin is quite small, only 6mm diameter its shear strength is strong and greatly adds to the security of the system.

 
Alarm and Beacon
As an option a small box can be supplied to mount on the top of the gate,. Every time the gate moves the strobe light will flash and the alarm will sound. Again simple and easy to use and gives everyone a warning that the system is about to operate. 

Light Beam Sensors

This option provides a light beam which when broken will stop the automatic close feature. Every few minutes the auto-close feature will retry until able to do so.
The light beam is a reflective type so comes with a high reflective plastic target to put at the other side of the drive. This also means only one wire is required to one side of the gate.
As many light beams as you think you may require can be fitted.

Smart Bell System.

Can be supplied with a gate kit or on its own.
Basically a phone as a doorbell. The caller presses the button and the unit will ring any number you chose. You can then talk to the caller and decide whether to allow access.
As this is a phone out system then there will be a charge from the phone operator, but using a pay as you go SIM then we assume the charge will only be for the calls used and answered.

   
Drive way Alarm.
Simple to fit battery powered alarm which will sound whenever a body passes the PIR sensor.
Two versions available with 80m transmit range and >250m transmit range.
Simple and easy to put down the drive and round the farm yard and buzz when someone is around.

Low Power PIR Floodlights.
We also have available a range of LED floodlights which trigger off movement and have high light outputs with low energy use. 50W equivalent to a 500W and the long bulb life expected from LED’s. Basically such low power they can be triggered then left on for an hour as a deterent, with little cost.
